If you believe there has been an error in the addition of the marks on your exam script or feel the marking of a test, assignment or exam was unfair, you can follow the two-step process:
1. Request to have your exam script returned and go over it yourself or with your lecturer.
A form needs to be filled out to get a copy of the exam script and it costs $5 which you can pay at our cashier in the Student Enrolment and Information Centre (SEIC). The exam script needs to be collected from the school you are studying with.
2. You may then apply to have the mark or grade given, for either an individual assessment or the final grade given for a module, reconsidered by completing an application for reconsideration of grades form.
Different time frames apply for the scenarios above – please read notes on the application form carefully together with the information provided in the Academic Regulations.
Please ensure you complete both sides of the reconsideration of grades form and submit it with your supporting documents and the required $55 assessment fee - this fee will be refunded if your application results in a change of grade.
Completed applications should be submitted either in person to the Student Enrolment & Information Centre (SEIC) or emailed to academicservices@wintec.ac.nz together with any supporting documents.
Reconsideration of marks or grades is not based on impaired preparation, attendance, or performance - an application for Special Consideration should be completed in this case.
