How do you get a Student ID Card?
Come and see us at the Student Enrolment and Information Centre (SEIC) at either the City or Rotokauri Campuses. We can take your photo and print your card while you are here. You can save time and skip the queue by emailing a suitable portrait photo to idcards@wintec.ac.nz - please reference your Name, ID number and DOB. We can either post this out or you can come in to collect at the Student Enrolment and Information Centre (please indicate your preference).
Your first Student ID card is free, if you need a replacement it is $40. If your card has been stolen then please bring us a police report and we will print a replacement for free.
What do you need a Student ID Card for?
You need your ID card for printing at Wintec, taking out library books, and accessing the hub. You may also have after hours access to other other buildings if required for your programme.
Some places like the movies, restaurants/bars etc give a Student or Tertiary discount if you show your Student ID Card, so it's always a good idea to keep it on you!
What do you do if your Student ID card doesn't give you access to the building that you need?
Please visit Security who can tell you if you should have access and arrange this for you.

Following up on this, you use your student ID card to get into the city hub after hours, but can you use it to do the same at Rotokauri campus' hub? Or are we limited to using Rotokauri hub during normal hours?
If your card expires why do they charge you $40 for a replacement card instead of $35 for a lost card?
