Plagiarism is copying or paraphrasing someone else's work and presenting it as your own.
Plagiarism is academic misconduct and may result in you getting no marks for an assignment in which you plagiarise. In serious or repeat cases, it can result in failing the course or your qualification.
You avoid plagiarism by always acknowledging that ideas, concepts or quotations come from a particular source by referencing that source (see APA referencing).
