What does a Kaiāwhina do?

We know that often things occur in life that can make the student journey challenging!  Our Kaiāwhina are here to help you to overcome these so you can be successful on your student journey.

They can refer you to the right people and services to support you through issues that are impacting on your student experience, from trouble with accommodation, to helping connect you with other students, to talking with your tutor about difficult issues.

Some schools and programmes have Kaiāwhina attached to them, so talk to your Centre or School in the first instance if you are unsure.  

There are also Kaiāwhina in Te Kete Kōnae that can help you, so don't hestitate to get in touch if you want someone to talk to while you study.
