For Microsoft Teams
For non-Wintec devices, you need to do another step (see For non-Wintec devices).
- From the channel, select the tab.
- Click (the globe) to open in SharePoint.
- Click Add shortcut to OneDrive (to access these files from your OneDrive and File Explore on your computer).
- Click Not following. This will change it to say Following.
- Add shortcut to OneDrive creates pathways to your OneDrive, meaning you can save to the right location using OneDrive and/or File Explorer for any Wintec computer.
- You can edit the name of the folder in File Explorer.
- In File Explorer, right-click and select Rename. The link name will change in your OneDrive. Please note, it takes a few minutes for the name change to be visible in the browser version of OneDrive.
For non-Wintec devices
MAC
Before you follow and sync your new Microsoft Teams, you will need to change a syncing setting in your OneDrive.
- Select Cloud icon (bottom right on Taskbar)
- Select More.
- Select Settings (PC users) or Preferences (Mac users). The Microsoft OneDrive dialog opens.
- On the Settings tab, ensure the Files on Demand option is selected.
Once you have completed these steps, complete the steps about to follow and sync your MS Team to your computer.
